About Hygge

'Pronounced hue-gah' is a business centred around self care. Its purpose is to encourage people to incorporate rituals into their daily lives that feed the mind, body and soul.

The name is inspired by the Danish concept of 'Hygge' which most simply translates to a feeling of cosiness, or even better - cosiness to the soul. Hygge is often associated with slow paced time with loved ones, candle lit dinners, time cuddled up by a freshly lit fire... the list goes on.

Self care practices serve a similar purpose, to evoke a feeling of comfort. Therefore, there was no better name for the business then Hygge or to help us none Danes with the difficult pronunciation; 'pronounced hue-gah'.
